Control Union Chile issues the first IFS PACsecure version 3 certificate worldwide 

We are proud to announce that Control Union, in its role as the local representative of IFS and as the global scheme owner of the IFS PACsecure standard, has issued the first version 3 certificate in the world.
This important milestone took place in Chile on June 11th, 2025, marking a major achievement by our technical team.

The company Multi-Color Chile was the first to receive this certification, highlighting its commitment to technical excellence, sustainability, and a safer and more responsible supply chain.

At Control Union, we have been actively contributing to the development of this new version of the standard for more than three years, participating as official members of the IFS PACsecure Technical Working Group.

The IFS PACsecure standard applies to packaging materials such as paper and cardboard, plastics (rigid and flexible), glass, metals, composite and laminated materials, and wood — used for both food products (processed foods, beverages, fresh produce) and non-food products (cosmetics, hygiene, cleaning, pharmaceuticals).
Its updated version strengthens the focus on safety and integrity of packaging materials within an increasingly conscious and demanding supply chain.
