GOTS - Global Organic Textile Standard

First, the fibers must be natural, or come from organic farming.

Second, the production process is also taken into account, so each step must meet certain criteria.

The criteria for Production standards are in the "Skal International standards for sustainable textile production" (attach doc that is in the mail). They have all the information for each step of textile production (spinning, weaving, washing, dyeing , etc.).

To ensure that these criteria are workable in practice we have developed them with experts from the textile industry, consumer organizations and environmental groups.
